Backstory Productions needed a public-facing visual system that could stand out in crowded creative spaces while clearly communicating their value beyond technical production. Existing messaging risked blending in with other production studios, underselling their collaborative approach.
I extended Backstory's existing visual and verbal identity and centered it around the idea that everyone has a story worth telling. Large-scale typography, layered graphic forms, and behind-the-scenes imagery work together to feel immersive and cinematic.
The strategy focused on simplicity, confidence, and emotional pull. By pairing minimal copy with striking visuals and direct questions like “What’s your backstory?”, the work invites curiosity and self-reflection. This approach humanizes the brand while reinforcing Backstory’s role as a collaborator who challenges ideas and sharpens narratives.

The final designs deliver a strong, memorable presence that feels bold, modern, and unmistakably Backstory. The system clearly differentiates the brand from traditional production studios and reinforces its identity as a driven creative partner.
